Terms of Use

Who can use Scintria

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. If you use Scintria on behalf of an institution, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details confidential and tell us promptly at hello@scintria.com if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate profile information; alignment results depend on it.

Plans, payment and cancellation

Scintria offers a free plan and paid subscription plans described at scintria.com/pricing. Paid plans renew automatically each month until cancelled.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

You can cancel anytime from Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and your plan stays active until then. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

We may change prices for future billing periods. We will tell you at least 30 days before a price change affects you, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

Plan limits, such as monthly AI generations and saved opportunities, are described on the pricing page and applied automatically.

Funding information

Funding records come from third-party sources such as Grants.gov and NIH RePORTER. We show the source and when we last checked each record, but funders change calls, eligibility and deadlines without notice. Always confirm details on the funder's official listing before applying.

Scintria's alignment scores and analysis are guidance. They are not a determination of eligibility and never a guarantee of funding.

AI-generated content

The research writer and other AI features produce drafts to assist you. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. You are responsible for reviewing, verifying and editing anything before you use or submit it, including checking every fact, figure and reference.

Do not use AI-generated material in a way that breaches the rules of a funder, journal, institution or ethics body. Scintria does not provide medical, statistical, regulatory, ethical or legal advice.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you add to Scintria, including your profile, notes, drafts and uploaded material ("Your Content"). You allow us to store, process and display Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you, including sending the parts you select to our AI providers. We do not sell Your Content and do not use it to train AI models.

You confirm you have the right to use Your Content, and that it does not contain information identifying patients or research participants unless you are lawfully permitted to share it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• fabricate data, results, credentials or citations, or misrepresent your qualifications;
• attempt to access another user's data, or bypass plan limits or security measures;
• scrape, resell or automate access to the Service except through features we provide;
• upload malicious code, or content that is unlawful, infringing or harmful;
• use the Service in breach of any law, sanctions regime or funder rule.

Our service

We work to keep Scintria available and accurate, but provide it "as is" and "as available". We may change, improve or discontinue features. If we discontinue a paid feature you rely on, we will give reasonable notice.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using Scintria at any time and ask us to delete your account at hello@scintria.com. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or put the Service or other users at risk. If we close your account without a breach on your part, we will refund any unused prepaid fees.

Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make based on funding information or AI output, including unsuccessful applications.

Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period or US$100.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will ask you to review and accept the new version before you continue using Scintria. The date on this page shows the current version.
